Does a lapsed LEI stop trading?
No. A Lapsed LEI still exists in the Global LEI Index. Banks and brokers may ask for a current LEI for reporting or onboarding; renew if you need Issued status. ESMA accepts lapsed client LEIs for trading in the situations described in the guidance.
How long does renewal take?
When ordering is open, renewal follows the issuer's validation against the company register. While ordering is paused, leave your details and we will notify you.
