What do these statuses mean?
- Issued
- The LEI is current. Data was last checked against the company register at the last renewal.
- Lapsed
- The renewal date passed. The code still exists; banks and brokers may ask for a current LEI.
- Retired
- The LEI is no longer active (for example after a merger). A new LEI may be needed.
- Pending transfer
- A change is already in progress at the issuer. There is nothing to order until that finishes.
